Steamed Korean Pear with Dates and Ginger

I loved this recipe as it slightly reminds me of the baked apples we made in Poland. Maybe not in flavor, but in texture and appearance. It's a very simple dessert, sweet and soft, I think it's great for kids. It's also said to be an Asian cough remedy, so it's pleasure and health in one!

Ingredients:
- 1 Korean pear
- 2-3 dates
- 1-2 slices of ginger
- 2 tbsp honey

Instructions:
1. Wash the Korean pear thoroughly. Cut off the top and use a spoon to carefully scoop out the core and seeds, creating a hollow cavity in the middle of the pear.
2. If desired, remove the pits from the dates.
3. Stuff the dates, ginger slices, and honey into the hollow cavity of the pear.
4. Place the stuffed pear in a steamer basket or steaming tray.
5. Steam the pear over boiling water for about an hour, or until the pear is tender when pierced with a fork.
6. Carefully remove the steamed Korean pear from the steamer. Enjoy!
